Privacy Policy

Remi · Last updated 26 July 2026

Remi is built around one promise: your photos never leave your phone.

The short version. Your selfies are encrypted and stored only on your device. We have no servers that receive them, no account system, no analytics, and no ads. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes everything it stored.

Your photos

Data we collect

None. The app has no account system and does not send analytics, usage data, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or any personal information to us or anyone else. Your settings, streaks, and routine history live only on your device.

Optional community features

If a future version enables invites and friend challenges, those features are strictly opt-in and work with the minimum possible data: a randomly generated ID (not tied to your name, email, or device identity), invite/challenge codes, a display name you choose, and your streak/day count. This is used only to make referrals and challenges work, and never includes photos or anything derived from them. This policy will be updated, and the store listings re-declared, before any such version ships.

Notifications

The daily reminder is scheduled locally on your phone. It involves no server and sends nothing anywhere.

Permissions we ask for

Deleting your data

Everything the app stores lives on your device, so deleting the app deletes all of it — photos, history, and settings — permanently. There is no copy anywhere else.

Children

Remi is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect any information from them — the app collects no information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes (such as enabling community features) will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
